How to find your love after the age of 35 or In search of Prince Charming after several failed relationships

You start by making a projection of how you want your partner to be, as you are mature enough to know what you want from your next relationship, whether you are planning a future family or you just want to have someone in your life.

Try to detach yourself from the example of former relationships. Why do we say that? Most women look for the future man in their life to either look like their ex or, on the contrary, have nothing in common with that man. As long as you stay in the past, you risk waking up in a concentric circle of your own love failures and frustrations, which will probably only lead to another failure.

Think positive! If you do not have a positive attitude towards your projection or you are overwhelmed by uncertainties, you will most likely end up complaining about another failure. Nobody stops you from dreaming with open eyes at Prince Charming or how your life with him will look like.

Get rid of the preconceived notion, often instilled by family or loved ones, that “it’s time to have your family” or that “all girls your age are married.” Such attitudes only put pressure on you, thus risking making the wrong choice that does not necessarily correspond to your desires. Don’t forget that you are beautiful, young, intelligent, attractive and, most importantly, you know best when and with whom it will be time to enter into a relationship and especially, why.

Leave the house. Surely you’ve heard so many times that “the ideal man won’t knock on your door.” Take advantage of every opportunity to meet new people, whether you meet your friends, make new ones or create an account on various dating networks. Travel more, discover new passions, practice sports in the gym, go to the pool, in the park, etc. Be open to everything around you, including a close look or a smile from a man you find attractive in a supermarket, a party, a pharmacy, a beach, etc. Orient your search strategy to places frequented by men. What would it be like to go out on the terraces in the center of the city after a football match? Would it increase your chances of meeting more men?

Smiles all the time. Your smile will make you irresistible and much more attractive. A frown will fuel distrust, while a wide smile is considered the universal greeting of all.

As soon as you meet a man, do not be deceived in a relationship in which you think you will be able to change something fundamental to that man, because you have no chance. Keep in mind that as the 40-year-old approaches, the man’s personality is already formed. So don’t waste your time, either accept it with all its flaws from the beginning, or keep searching, don’t waste precious time that leads nowhere.

And yet, no one is perfect! Apart from you, of course! Do not confuse the irreparable flaws of the man with the compromise. In any relationship there are compromises at some point, in both directions, which help its proper functioning.

If we get this far, let’s dismantle some false myths about men:

  • All good men are taken. Nothing more false. It’s just that you haven’t looked for the right place yet. Most women are more successful in attracting a man’s attention when they are in a relationship, because they are not focused on “conquering”, they are more confident, more open and smiling. The same goes for men. And don’t forget one more aspect, the society we live in is oriented towards individualism, career, financial stability, personal development. This does not mean that at some point, when they touch on all these items, men do not dream of an ideal relationship, the wife of dreams, family.
  • Men don’t want serious relationships. Like women, most men at this age have already experienced at least one serious relationship. They also have friends “sitting at home”, families who put pressure on them with famous expressions “when you get married, it’s time” or “I want to have grandchildren too”. Men at this age know very well what they want, they express their intentions quite clearly, even if sometimes it may seem that they somehow rush things.
  • Men are liars. And most of the time we tend to believe this based on the theory that they only want sex, anytime, anywhere and with almost anyone. But isn’t this also true for women? If you start distrusting a relationship, you risk it failing because of your doubts. So don’t go for less that your full potential.

The bottom line is that as long as you show a positive attitude, trust yourself and dare to hope, Prince Charming on a White Horse will be closer than you think. Just open your eyes wide and see it!
