Silky Hair

How to make your own effective hair care masks

Our hair is one of the most important elements when it comes to our outfit, so it is extremely important to have beautiful and shiny hair all the time.

In order to enjoy the beauty of our hair for as long as possible, it is not necessary to resort to harsh cosmetic treatments, which over time lose their effectiveness, or worse can harm your hair, but we can use various practical methods and at everyone’s fingertips.

1. To restore hair shine, apply half a glass of greasy yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt) to damp hair, and leave it on for about 30 minutes. You can also alternate from time to time with a mask that you prepare from equal amounts of bee honey, coconut oil and apple vinegar (about two tablespoons of each). The action time is similar to the first recipe, after which, in each case, wash your hair with the products you normally use.

2. Against hair loss. You can try a hot treatment with natural oils, such as: jojoba oil, coconut oil, olive oil, argan oil, eucalyptus oil. Gently heat the chosen oil and let it act for as long as possible (minimum 2-3 hours), then wash your hair using regular shampoo.

3. To reduce / eliminate scalp itching. Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of water. Massage the scalp with the solution obtained and leave it to act for about 20 minutes.

4. For brittle hair. Apply beer on clean, damp hair and leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse well with cold water.

5. For dry or blunt hair. Make a mixture of half a cup of honey and 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil that you apply on your hair and leave it to act for a few hours. You can also add an egg yolk to the mixture.

Another efficient recipe would be to mix 2 tablespoons of honey with an egg and a tablespoon of apple vinegar. Apply the treatment on all the hair and leave it on for 20 minutes, after which wash your hair normally. But be careful! Although it is very effective, the egg white is a bit more difficult to remove from the hair because, in contact with hot water, it tends to “swell”. In this case, you can remove it from the mixture, using only the yolk.

6. For rebellious hair. You can apply avocado oil or even crushed avocado fruit mixed with egg yolk every two weeks. The duration of the action is 30 minutes, after which you normally wash your hair.

Another handy and multi-beneficial method would be to apply coconut oil on dry hair, which should work overnight or at least 2-3 hours apart.

7. For hair full of impurities, dandruff or other residues. Apply a tablespoon of baking soda to your hair for 15 minutes, previously mixed with a little water. Do not repeat the procedure earlier than two weeks.

You can also mix 2 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 4 drops of peppermint essential oil and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil. Mix all the ingredients well, but be careful not to melt the sugar, and massage the mixture on your scalp like a scrub for 2-3 minutes, then leave it to act for 15 minutes, covered with a towel.

8. For hair that grows very slow. Heat 2-3 tablespoons of extra virgin coconut oil and mix them with two tablespoons of cinnamon powder until you form a homogeneous paste. Apply the treatment on the hair length, insisting on the root, and let it act for about 45 minuts. Then apply the usual hair washing routine.

Another efficient treatment is castor oil, which you can mix with 2-3 drops of liquid vitamin A (found in pharmacies) and an egg yolk. Leave on for 30 minutes, then wash your hair with your usual shampoo.
