About oral hygiene and the importance of maintaining healthy teeth
The obligatory condition for having a bright and healthy smile is to achieve correct and complete oral hygiene.
Dental hygiene aims to eliminate or reduce as much as possible the bacteria in the oral cavity. Every day, in our mouth grows about 700 bacteria that can cause tooth decay, such as caries, tartar, gingivitis, periodontitis.
So here are the steps you need to take to successfully prevent such problems.
1. Tooth brushing and tongue cleaning
You should choose the toothpaste and toothbrush that suits you best only after a prior discussion with your dentist. He knows best if you need a brush with hard or soft bristles, and if it should be electric or not.
Remember to clean the tongue at the end of the brushing with the back of the manual toothbrush or a tongue brush attached to the electric toothbrush.

2. Flossing
Proper brushing cannot be done without flossing, which has the role of cleaning the interdental spaces. Another benefit of the device is that it relieves gingival inflammation and reduces bacterial plaque.
Flossing once a day is enough for optimal oral care.
3. Use of mouthwash
Mouthwash effectively removes oral bacteria and prevents plaque formation. Fluoride-containing mouthwash reduces the risk of tooth decay.
It is recommended to use it for rinsing the mouth for 20-30 seconds at an application, for optimal care.
