Porklicious

Baked pork loin – a delicious and healthy recipe

Pork is one of the tenderest types of meat and is also low in fat. Nutritionists recommend consuming pork loin in diets in amounts similar to those of chicken breast, as both have about the same caloric index (about 145 kcal / 100g). It is a tasty meat that does not require much time for cooking, it is eaten hot and if you have a safe source of supply, it certainly contains fewer hormones than chicken breast, so it is even healthier.

Preparation time: 15 minutes.

Cooking time: 60-70 minutes.

Ingredients needed for 4 servings:

  • 1 kilogram of pork loin (whole piece);
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • Pepper to taste;
  • 1 head of garlic;
  • 1 teaspoon thyme;
  • ½ teaspoon rosemary;
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil;
  • About 10 pitted olives;
  • A glass of white wine.

Preparation method:

Wash the meat well and place it on a kitchen lid. From time to time, pierce the piece of meat with a knife so that a clove of garlic or an olive can enter the hole created. Alternate with the garlic and olives until you have finished the whole quantity. The hole in which they will enter is created by turning the knife 2-3 times.

Then salt the meat and grease it with olive oil, and at the end add the rest of the spices evenly.

Put the piece of steak in a large tray and sprinkle with white wine. Fill with water until the liquid is halfway through the piece of muscle. Bake the steak for about 1 hour, making sure to turn it over halfway through the cooking time.

The pork loin is ready when it has browned enough and formed a golden-brown crust or when the fork enters it easily.

Before serving, cut the steak into slices to the desired size. Serve hot.

Tricks:

  • If you have a yenna dish with a lid in the kitchen, you can use it instead of a tray. The process will speed up the cooking and will soften the meat even more.
  • Excessive baking of the muscle will make your steak stronger.
