One Day or Day One?

The lesser known benefits of the sport

Much has been written about the importance of playing sports. Most of the time, when we talk about sports, we associate it with a healthy diet and high water consumption, in order to obtain an enviable figure. Totally true, but the benefits of playing sports don’t stop there. Here are some other reasons why we believe it is important that daily exercise is not absent from your life.

1. Helps self-regulate body weight

Calories eliminated through sports are known to be calories lost “forever”. By continuing to practice a sport or exercise regularly after completing a diet, you will ensure an enviable figure in the long run.

2. Improves mental functions

During sports, more oxygen is pumped to the brain through the blood vessels. This will greatly reduce your risk of stroke and make you think faster. Your creativity will be stimulated by acquiring new mental reflexes, as the oxygen pumped into the brain will stimulate the newly formed nerve cells.

3. It treats the nervous states of the psyche

Sport is the best treatment for people suffering from depression or anxiety. In addition, it will greatly increase your ability to concentrate, you will sleep better, and you will feel less tired and less stressed. Sport makes you more organized and disciplined, extremely important aspects to discover the key to success in your life.

4. Improves social skills

Playing sports will increase your self-esteem and self-confidence, making it easy for you to interact with new people. If you work in a team at work, your performance will certainly increase considerably. Instinctively, you will more easily accept a defeat and you will know how to enjoy more success. You will acquire the spirit of fair play through sports.

5. Keep your body healthy

Regular exercise increases the lifespan, and not in any way, but in a healthy way: it regulates the metabolism and prevents the formation of fat plaques in the heart, brain, kidneys, etc. Accelerates the elimination of toxins from the body, strengthens bones (thus preventing osteoporosis), joints and immunity.

6. Benefits for children

Sport practiced since childhood has beneficial effects on life. Whether it is an individual or team sport, in addition to the benefits listed above, the sport will develop the body and mind in the most harmonious way possible.

In the end, it is important to note that sport is different from exercise. A walk of at least 30 minutes a day has multiple benefits for the body, but sports involve intense physical effort, proper exercise and body sweating.
