Summer Smoothies

Quick smoothies for a healthy digestive system and a hot summer

Smoothies are in high demand nowadays as they offer you a healthy and quick alternative to treat the various problems you’re facing with. We have prepared some smoothies for you to treat three problems that you may face with: constipation, bloating and maintaining body weight.

1. Smoothie to treat constipation

  • 7-8 pitted plums or 8-10 prunes
  • 1 peeled and pitted pear
  • 1 tablespoon oatmeal
  • 100-200 ml water

Put the pears and plums in the blender, add a little water so that they can be mixed and blend them for a few seconds, until you have obtained a homogeneous composition. Add the oatmeal and mix again until it smoothes. It is to be consumed immediately.

If you want the smoothie to be more fluid so you can enjoy it with a straw, add water until the glass is full and mix it again.

We recommend consuming the smoothie three times a week until the problem is solved.

Tip: you can replace the pear with a peeled orange or a pre-frozen banana. You can also add a teaspoon of flaxseed oil to your smoothie.

Consumed in the morning, instead of breakfast, the drink will also give you an explosion of energy and vitality for the whole day.

2. Smoothie to treat bloating

  • 1 large pear or 2 medium pears, well ripened
  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed
  • 100 ml of water
  • optionally, you can add a teaspoon of chia seeds

Mix all the ingredients in a blender and enjoy immediately.

It is to be consumed in the morning, instead of breakfast. If you are still hungry after serving the smoothie, you can eat other foods after at least 30 minutes.

Tip: If you don’t like pears, you can replace them with a papaya fruit, mango or 2 fresh apples.

Combined with a healthy diet and daily exercise, this smoothie recipe also helps in the fight against extra pounds.

3. Custom weight loss smoothie

  • Put half a cup of diced or whole fruit in the blender jar (for example, in the case of berries). You have the freedom to choose any type of fruit you like, you can even put a mix of the fruits you have in the house.
  • Top up with a cup of water or skim milk. You can also opt for almond, soy, oat or cashew milk.
  • Add a teaspoon of honey.
  • Top, for creaminess, with 3 tablespoons of yogurt or a well-baked avocado.
  • If you like the sour taste you can add a teaspoon of lemon juice.
  • Don’t forget about seeds. Again, you can choose this ingredient according to your taste, or …. depending on what you have around the house. You can choose from: flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, chia, oatmeal, seed mix.
  • 2-3 lettuce leaves or half a boiled beetroot. You can also opt for canned red beets, but only after you have made sure that it does not contain added sugar.

As you have already noticed, this type of smoothie gives you the opportunity to customize your own best recipe, depending on your tastes. Its secret is to drink it in the morning, as a substitute for breakfast.
